The Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management is a two-semester course which is available on part time basis only.
In the Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management, you will develop advanced technical and practical knowledge, skills and professional capacities in leadership which are directly contextualised to your educational setting. You will emerge with an authentic Christian worldview integration within your leadership enabling you to confidently move to your next phase of influence.
Students who successfully complete this degree may articulate into the Master of Education or MBA, depending upon the nature of their previous qualifications.

Flexible delivery
The Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management will be delivered in the external/online mode. Delivery is supported by an integrated Learning Management System (LMS) with resource-rich modular units, media and interactive elements. Your study journey will be supported by a scaffolded study guide and regular online conferencing with accessible lecturers. Assessment is clearly detailed, usually consisting of two significant or three moderate tasks per unit which, in many cases, can be applied to your school context.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management is designed to develop students’ foundational knowledge and skills in the fields of school leadership and management by including a broad study into the key elements of school leadership and management.
Students undertake four units – three core units and one elective unit.

HIGHER EDUCATION STUDY:
Applicants with a recognised initial teacher education qualification and at least one year (full-time equivalent) of relevant teaching experience are eligible for admission to this course.
WORK AND LIFE EXPERIENCE:
Applicants with five years of industry experience, which includes at least one year in a school context, are eligible for admission to this course.
Applicants for whom English is not their first language must provide certified documentary evidence that their secondary schooling, or tertiary studies of at least one year, was conducted in the English language or they have satisfactory results in an acceptable English Language Proficiency examination (see table below). Results are to be no more than two years old as at the commencement of the course of study.
