The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Kindergarten and Elementary Education - First Nations and Inuit Studies program requires 120 credits and leads to teacher certification.
Students normally complete 30 credits in their Freshman (U0) year.
The Freshman year is the time to take introductory-level courses in the subjects taught in Elementary school, as well as to explore areas that are not normally taken as teachable subject area courses within B.Ed. programs (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, etc.).
Students admitted to the First Nations and Inuit Studies program in U0 should consult with their program adviser for guidance on course selection.
