This program will prepare you for a rewarding and challenging career working with youth and adult in crisis. You will gain a working knowledge of the law, criminology, victimology and human behaviour. Benefit from practical workshops, industry tours and visits, and an integrated field placement component. Applied workshops include conflict resolution, mental health first aid, hostage taking and negotiating. This comprehensive training will give you the skills you need to work in the fields of youth justice, restorative justice and adult corrections.

Certification/Accreditation
Students have the opportunity to obtain further certifications through the program including Standard First Aid and CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Conflict Prevention and Intervention, ACHIEVE-2 Day Leadership Workshop, Conflict Resolution Simulation Lab, Suicide Awareness and Intervention Workshop and Use of Force Certification (some at an extra cost).
