Entry Requirements
There is an expectation that candidates will:
Be working in an allied health, social care, medical, social care and/or social work role, which demonstrates learning in a professional context
Hold a degree and/or professional qualification at graduate level in a relevant field
Have substantial practice experience in relevant settings.
They will also have:
Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language, mathematics and a science subject.
An upper-second-class degree (or equivalent) in a related field is required. Related degrees include medical, sport and biomedical science, and science degrees such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry and physiology. Other degrees will be considered on an individual basis.
In addition to the above, candidates are required to have practical experience relating to their research question.
Applicants with extensive relevant industry experience with a 2.2 in a relevant field, and applicants with a first or upper second classification in a non-specified field with work experience in a relevant environment will be referred to the programme leader for consideration.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will also be considered by the programme at the point of entry up to 60 credits.
Interviews offered to applicants demonstrating understanding of the discipline study and commitment to studying this research focussed degree.
For students whose first language is not English, there is a requirement to achieve an IELTS tariff of 7 with no individual component below 6.5.
