The applied mathematics major is designed for students who are interested in mathematics and eager to apply their mathematical skills to engineering, physics, and other scientific fields.
By combining your mathematical training with selected coursework in computing and the sciences, you will prepare for careers in a broad range of disciplines, and join the next generation of technological innovators. Graduates of the program hold positions within computer and computer service firms, chemical and pharmaceutical firms, engineering firms, communication service providers, consulting firms, research laboratories, banks, and insurance companies.
