Liberal Arts students may design a Liberal Arts major if they prefer not to choose a formal major course of study offered in a traditional discipline. A self-designed major allows for the election of a concentration in either the humanities or social sciences, or it may be built around a theme that brings together courses in both the humanities and social sciences.

Students who create a self-designed major must complete the standard requirements of the University Core, the College Core, a minor, and earn a total of at least 120 credits to graduate.

To be considered for admission you must have graduated from a secondary school recognized as an acceptable equivalent to a U.S. high school and you must demonstrate a record of acceptable academic success.
