Azusa Pacific University’s Bachelor of Arts in Cinematic Arts is a comprehensive program that allows students to develop a spiritually aware, critical, and creative outlook. Students are immersed in hands-on filmmaking with state-of-the-art equipment and expert instruction by faculty-mentors with professional experience. Students receive training in writing, production, post-production, criticism, animation, and entertainment management with the aim of combining artistic excellence with academic rigor. Located just 25 miles from Hollywood, film majors have superior access to industry professionals, internships, and the vibrant cinematic arts community of Southern California.
Beyond simply learning how to use the tools of the trade, students are also challenged to thoughtfully consider how art and culture impact one another and what role the Christian artist plays in the process. The cinematic arts major is comprised of nine core courses that form a common foundation of cinematic arts knowledge integrated with six additional specialty courses in one of three concentrations.

Students currently enrolled in high school or who have earned fewer than 28 units of college credit following high school graduation.
International students should have obtained a TOEFL iBT sore 80 including scores of 18 in speaking, 20 in listening, 20 in reading, and 22 in writing and IELTS score 6.0.
