The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics combines a fundamental core of required mathematics courses with mathematics electives.
Learning Outcomes
Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics students will:
Demonstrate competence in the techniques of calculus in one and several variables.
Model real-world problems using mathematics.
Use technology effectively.
Communicate the mathematical process.
Read and construct mathematical proofs.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of abstraction.
STEM Designated Degree Programs determine F-1 students' eligibility for the 24-month extension of their post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT), based on their science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degree.
