Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management

On campus living is currently optional, but quarantine seems to have made this year’s freshman class less ready for off campus living. We want to make sure that they have a support system in place, which they will have in the dorms.

Public Policy Administration offers a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management for students who are current professional staff, elected or non-elected local government officials or who are interested in pursuing a career in the local government sector.

The certificate can be taken by itself or in conjunction with the pursuit of the master's in public policy administration or a graduate degree in another field. Course credits earned in the certificate program can be applied to the MPPA, but a separate application may be required. It is possible for students to complete their MPPA with an emphasis in Local Government Management and receive the graduate certificate without completing additional coursework.
