Graduate Certificate in Music Performance, Professional Studies Cleveland State University

The certificate program is a one-year, sixteen credit program, designed to offer an intensive area of study for students who wish to focus their skills as performers.

CURRICULUM:

The curriculum for the Professional Studies Certificate Program includes specialized studies in specific instrument or vocal areas, culminating in a recital, as well as large and small ensemble performing experiences.

INSTRUMENTAL TRACK: STRING, BRASS, WOODWIND, PERCUSSION - 16 CREDITS

MUA 6XX Applied study on major instrument, 2 credits
MUA 603 - Recital Preparation

MUS 502 - Band/Wind Ensemble OR
MUS 504 - University Orchestra OR
MUS 507 - Jazz Ensemble 2 credits over 2 semesters
