Students should plan on at least a three-year undergraduate program, ideally selecting courses that lead to an undergraduate degree. Courses such as Immunology (BIOS 3113), Vertebrate Physiology (BIOS 3354), Animal Behavior (BIOS 4644), and Genetics (BIOS 3453) will provide additional preparation for veterinary school. These courses serve as biology electives for the B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. Students are encouraged to acquire a broad, general education and to specialize in a discipline that interests them personally.
