Nominees must have completed a full year of coursework in the doctoral program with First Class Academic standing (3.5/4.0 GPA)
Nominee is registered in the Department of Sociology
Nominee must have completed a full year of coursework in the doctoral program and their specialization exam
Academic program must have significant demographic content
Nominee will have demonstrated, through a combination of course work and research, excellence in one or more of the following areas: formal demographic methods, quantitative sociological methods, social demographic theory
The scholarship is non-renewable
The recipient is required to submit a written report to the Sociology Graduate from Office within 12 months; the report must include a research statement of progress and an accounting of research expenses
Open to Canadian citizens.
Open to permanent residents.
Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
