Admission to the Master of Public Health requires:an undergraduate degree with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65, plus one of the following: a one-year Honours degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma. At least one qualification must be in a field relevant to public health; ORan undergraduate degree (minimum WAM of 65) plus significant professional or volunteer experience in a field relevant to public health (equivalent of 2 years full time)..Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may be offered the Graduate Certificate in Public Health as a pathway into the Master of Public Health.Examples of relevant fields include medicine, nursing, allied health (nutrition science, dietetics, exercise science), health sciences, biomedical sciences, dentistry, sociology, behavioural and social sciences, psychology, human services, emergency services, environmental health, veterinary science, health administration, business, management, law, science, mathematics and statistics, economics, policy studies, development studies.Entry to the Public Health Research specialisation requires a WAM of 75 or greater in your prior studies.Students wishing to take PGPH940 Public Health Practice will require a WAM of 65 across all completed subjects.
