Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies

Simon Fraser University

Criminology is the interdisciplinary study of crime as both an individual and social phenomenon, with research on the origins and forms of crime, its causes and consequences, and social and governmental reactions to it. Criminology is for you if you have an active interest in a multitude of fields and seek to develop a critical and focused mind. The Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies and the School of Criminology have complementary interests in gender, sexuality, and women's issues. This joint major is for those who share these interests. Students are encouraged to plan their program in consultation with advisors in both departments.
