Geography is a wide-ranging discipline that examines the characteristics of human and physical features on Earth and the processes that shape them. 1
You'll learn to critically analyze complex issues in areas such as travel, health, food systems, climate or water distributions.
Program Highlights
First-year Geography courses combine classroom learning with hands-on tutorials and lab meetings, so that you can develop key research and analytical skills in small-group settings.
Upper-year students participate in field courses where they can engage in original research projects in places such as Costa Rica, the Canadian Rockies, and the Yukon.
Participate in the Capstone Urban Sustainability Project and collaborate with other Arts students on a yearlong project where you'll seek to resolve an urban planning and development issue.
Students engage with modern technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that they can then apply to a range of careers.
