A biochemistry and molecular biology degree gives you the foundation to further your study in medicine, pharmacy, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or a career in teaching.You will begin your studies with a broad range of courses in natural sciences, followed by an introduction to biochemistry in your second year. In the third year, explore DNA – the blueprint of life proteins – the machines that make our bodies work and a wide range of other molecular topics.Your degree culminates in your fourth year with courses in oncology, the evolution of life, advanced genetics, and much more. Acquire the necessary expertise in the foundations of biochemistry, such as organic and physical chemistry and then explore how biological molecules operate in living systems.
