This is essential for understanding human impacts on the environment both living (ecological) and non-living components(geomorphological) and for addressing major environmental issues associated with biodiversity. By having knowledge and understanding of dynamic natural environmental processes and their interaction with human activity and technology enables informed management of environmental resources for a more sustainable future.
