Explore the Universe with this Society for Natural Sciences-accredited and IOP-recognised astronomy and planetary science route through our BSc (Honours) Natural Sciences. You’ll study the solar system, exoplanets, the life cycles of stars, black holes, and cosmic evolution. Using quantitative tools and observational methods, you’ll describe, analyse, and explain phenomena objectively and rigorously. Alongside developing your scientific literacy, you’ll gain practical skills in data analysis and research techniques, preparing you for careers or further study in astronomy, space science, or related research fields.**Key features of the course**- Gain mathematical and data-handling skills sought after by employers- Develop investigative and laboratory skills using our state-of-the-art, multi-award-winning OpenSTEM Labs, including controlling our robotic optical telescopes- Extend your understanding of physics concepts and processes that underpin a wide range of phenomena in the Universe- Accredited by the Society for Natural Sciences (SNS) and recognised by the Institute of Physics (IOP)
