**From developing strategies to tackle health inequalities and rising levels of obesity to promoting mental, physical and environmental health, this course prepares you for a wide range of roles and opportunities in the field.**The course explores practical strategies for tackling disease, preventing ill health and reducing health inequalities, including health promotion programmes and approaches to health protection in response to emerging challenges. We aim to give you a real-world experience of the tasks and challenges you may face as a public health practitioner. You will have the opportunity to participate in practical activities, problem-based learning and workshops that could help you prepare for your future career.- The course aims to equip you to work in a range of roles within public health where you can make a real difference to people’s health and wellbeing.- Develop an understanding of health inequalities at local, national and international levels as well as the knowledge to be able to improve health outcomes through the effective planning, execution and evaluation of public health interventions to change behaviour.- Explore differing health needs, influences on health, and how to prevent ill health and promote health and wellbeing.
