Use science to solve real-world problems by finding novel uses for living organisms, their molecules and the processes they can carry out. Learn from professors in the departments of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and economics, as well as from the College of Engineering and Computer Science and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management through this interdisciplinary program. Take your learning outside the classroom through a senior-year capstone class as well as research experience and/or an industry internship required for all biotechnology majors. Receive guidance from faculty advisors as you navigate through research and internship experiences. Pursue a distinction in biotechnology by challenging yourself to excel academically in your science and mathematics coursework and conduct laboratory research before graduation.
