The degree program is interdisciplinary, drawing on the courses and faculty members from various departments across campus as well as the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth. The interdisciplinary approach allows you to gain critical insights on key international issues.
Flexibility to explore
The degree program consists of two components: a professional skills area and a specialization area. Each area offers multiple tracks so you can design an individualized program that best meets your career aspirations.

Courses explore a wide range of topics from surface water hydrology to strategic supply chain management. Several courses in the Management Skills area are available online so you can better balance academic, professional and personal obligations. The degree program culminates with a graduate practicum seminar that integrates your learning and demonstrates your professional preparedness.

Students are expected to have completed their bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Applicants must have an academic background in international studies, or in a field of study related to international studies. Such related fields may include anthropology, economics, history, journalism, political science, public administration, sociology, or equivalent training or expertise.
English Language Proficiency: Minimum TOEFL score requirement is 79; Minimum IELTS score is 6.0; Minimum PTE score is 53.
