Gain the expertise for a diverse career in the expanding area of occupational health and safety. In this course, you will learn how to create, maintain and manage safe and healthy workplaces. This course is accredited by the Australian Occupational Health and Safety Education Accreditation Board (Safety Institute of Australia), and accredited in the UK by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. Develop real-world experience before you graduate. Learn how work-integrated learning helps you build career skills and connect with industry early. You'll learn how to identify and manage risks and hazards contribute to decision-making and improve health and safety to prevent injuries and illness in the workplace. You’ll also develop skills in critical thinking, information literacy and technology. In your final year, you’ll build your expertise in industry environments with a 100-hour placement in semester one, followed by a 150-hour placement in semester two.
