The Diploma of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) is embedded in the Bachelor and Associate Degree of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) and has been designed as an exit qualification.The overall aim of the Diploma of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) is to provide a flexible, student-centred and academically rigorous course of study, which seeks to further develop students’ business and hospitality and tourism management skills and competencies and give them a solid foundation for further study at the undergraduate level.This course provides students an integrated approach with practical experience of industry specialists and formal academic learning. This course seeks to provide students with an undergraduate level of knowledge, competencies and values necessary for a fulfilling career in various areas of business administration and hospitality and tourism management. For this reason, students are required to undertake five core units which includes Academic Skills for Success Marketing Foundations Business Communication and Stakeholder Management Principles of Management and Organisations and Foundations of Information Technology. These core units are enhanced by three specialised hospitality and tourism management units of Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism Food and Beverage Management and Visitor Management.

สำหรับนักเรียนนานาชาติ

International students must provide evidence of the following to demonstrate they have successfully met the educational entry requirements:

  • Successful completion of Year 12 at the credit or above level as determined in Student Admission Policy or overseas equivalent; or
  • Recognised Foundation Studies course; or
  • Successful completion of one year of accredited tertiary study at an Australian institution; or
  • Successful completion of an Australian Certificate IV; or
  • International Baccalaureate with a score of 24.

English language requirements

  • IELTS overall band score for Diploma courses: 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or equivalent;
  • English for Academic Purposes Certificate of Proficiency from an Institutes approved

The Institute reserves the right to waive the English Language Requirements if the prospective applicant meets the criteria below:

  • Successful completion of an accredited course from the Australian Qualifications Framework at Certificate IV level in a related discipline or above, or one-year tertiary study within the past 2 years to the commencing date of the course applied at the Institute.
  • Successful completion of the requirements for the Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education in a course that was conducted in Australia in English
  • Successfully completed Cambridge CAE & CPE 169+
  • Successfully completed International Baccalaureate (IB) English B Standard Level grade 5, higher-level (A1 or A2) grade 4
  • Students have completed senior secondary study or at least one year of full-time university in a recognised country, where English language was the medium of instruction
