This program will enable you to develop efficient and environmentally responsive buildings and to retrofit existing buildings to meet today’s environmental demands. The course integrates units from the architectural sciences and emphasises rigour, quality, and evidence-based design.This program is tailored for design and related built-environment professionals who wish to extend their expertise in sustainable design, and for graduates of the Bachelor of Architecture and Environments and Bachelor of Design in Architecture.The Master of Architectural Science (Sustainable Design) is a postgraduate coursework degree with a primary stream in Sustainable Design that focuses on creating forward-looking, sustainability-oriented architects.You will complete core foundational and advanced units to develop the tools and approaches required for sustainable building, along with a capstone unit comprising a research report or dissertation.Additionally, you will complete elective units as needed to meet the requirements of the course. You also have the option to undertake a second stream if you complete 96 credit points where you will complete the core advanced units required for that stream.

A successful applicant for admission to this course will hold:

a Bachelor of Dentistry, Doctor of Dental Medicine or Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney or equivalent institution;

Or an equivalent qualification that is recognised by the

Australian Dental Board

(Limited Registration for postgraduate training/supervised practice) and with a curriculum acceptable to the school.

Experience and registration

In addition to these criteria, admission to this course requires:

at least two years general dental practice; completion of the primary Fellowship Examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons or its equivalent is desirable

all applicants must be registered with the Australian Dental Board for practice (limited registration for international candidates) prior to admission to the program
