If you have a background in teaching or educational administration, or have a professional interest in education, this course has been designed for you.Assessment consists of a thesis of up to 40,000 words which constitutes 100% of the examination for the degree and is examined externally. Applicants without prior relevant research training will be required to take 60 credit points of research training coursework subjects in the first semester (FTE) of the degree.Mastery of theoretical knowledge and ability to reflect critically on theory and its application, Ability to analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories and apply to established theories from different bodies of knowledge or practice, Ability to generate and assess complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level. This degree will allow you to pursue advanced research within academic research, higher education, or secure employment opportunities within research centres, government or the corporate world. It can also serve as preparation for a PhD.
