The Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) is the ideal two-year full-time degree for those engineers who have previously graduated with an undergraduate engineering degree in a related field seeking recognised accreditation to practice in Australia and overseas. Please note that the degree to be conferred will be the Master of Professional Engineering which is accredited by Engineers Australia. The chemical and biomolecular specialisation explores industrial processes in which material in bulk undergoes physical of chemical changes. This accelerated version of our Master of Professional Engineering degree is designed to provide you with deep technical skills in your chosen field of engineering combined with professional development in the areas of communication, leadership, and time and resource management. It will also help you develop the sound communication, management and decision-making capabilities necessary to interpret and discuss complex issues in your area of specialisation. The program will provide you with the engineering professional practice and research skills that lead to recognition as an Australian graduate engineer.Engineers working in this field may specialise as combustion engineers, petroleum engineers, chemical engineers, smelting engineers, water treatment engineers or environmental engineers. There is also scope for chemical and biomolecular engineers to move into related areas including biotechnology, food engineering and mineral engineering.
