The Applied Earth and Environmental Studies Certificate emphasizes the knowledge, skills, and practical applications that come from studying earth sciences and environmental studies. Through a combination of theoretical concepts and hands-on activities, the curriculum engages students in community-based projects and field-based studies that build valuable skills and knowledge. As a result, students are positioned to meet current employment standards, and are prepared for future career paths. Learners will gain both academic and applied skills relevant for entry-level employment in natural resource management and exploration as well as those pertaining to the environmental consulting industry.
