Mathematics, said to be the Queen of Sciences, has been around since humans first began using numbers. The permanence and universality of mathematics throughout the ages is a consequence of its very nature. At Mount Allison, the Mathematics program aims to provide an appreciation of the historical, theoretical, and applied nature of mathematics.

To be considered for admission, a university-preparatory language arts course and generally a minimum of four additional university-preparatory courses are required. Official transcripts: To be considered 'official,' transcripts must be forwarded directly to Mount Allison's registrar's office by the issuing institution. To be considered for admission, a minimum final grade of 65% or the equivalent is required in all university-preparatory courses reviewed. IB diploma International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma candidates with an overall minimum score of 26 (excluding core points) will be considered for admission.
