The Mechatronic Systems Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Option (Option D) is a limited-enrollment program. Upon completion, students will receive two degrees: a BESc in Mechatronic Systems Engineering and a BESc in Biomedical Engineering (non-accredited). Admission to Option D is competitive meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.Students apply to Option D while in first year through the Intent-to-Register process. The Mechatronic Systems Engineering Program, in collaboration with the Director of Biomedical Engineering, will accept students into Option D. To be eligible for Option D, all of the requirements of the first-year curriculum in the Faculty of Engineering must be completed with a minimum year-weighted average (YWA) of 70%.
