The BMus General program provides excellent preparation for a wide range of career paths. All Bachelor of Music students follow this program for the first two years of study. Many students choose to remain in the General program, where there is considerably more flexibility in elective courses in years three and four.The Bachelor of Music program prepares students for a successful career in the arts. Students study in a creative and collaborative environment and can shape their education to their aspirations. The program offers a wide range of program choices, all grounded in essential training.The education you receive in the Desautels Faculty of Music will prepare you for a wide range of careers, including traditional performance, music education, composition and history, and many other music and arts-related professions. We offer instruction in all orchestral, band and jazz instruments, piano and organ, all vocal areas and conducting.
