The Human Resource Major focuses on aligning people with an organization’s strategic goals. You’ll gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition and engagement, compensation and benefits, learning and development, change management, occupational health and safety, employment law, and labour relations. Industry-Recognized Accreditation - This program is accredited by Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Alberta, ensuring it meets professional and ethical standards while reflecting current industry needs. Graduates are eligible for exemption from the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) and, with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher, can proceed directly to building the required work experience for the CPHR designation-a highly regarded credential that provides a strong competitive advantage. Program Length & Learning Options This two-year (four-term) diploma has a standard course load of five courses per term, though full-time status can be maintained with three courses. Core and major-specific courses are available in-person, online, and blended formats, depending on enrollment.
