The Mechanical Engineering Technology program provides students with the ability and confidence to seek opportunities and provide support within the dynamic world of engineering, including in the automotive, energy generation, construction, and manufacturing sectors. Your future role may steer you towards a career in design, metal and non-metal fabrication including machining and 3D printing, or technical support. Students in the co-op program will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience during two four-month, paid work terms totaling 840 hours. Students will also put their skills to the test in Durham College’s modern facilities, including the Integrated Manufacturing Centre, which excels in the delivery of Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Electrical, Fluid Power, Precision Machining, and Measurement.
