Bachelor of Science with Honours in Data Science

The Bachelor of Science with Honours degree is made up of one full-time year of coursework that includes a research component. Subject areas range from Astronomy to Statistics, and you may complete the programme in two subjects if desired (combined honours). Data Science is an emerging field that combines Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics with other disciplines. Studying Data Science at the University of Canterbury, you will learn to understand and analyse data, and communicate your findings for the best possible decision-making. Study Involve: Investigate the many sources and applications of data in healthcare, business, transport, and economics. Get hands-on in the field in connection with UC’s various research centres. Project work in your final year where you will be applying data science in the workplace.
