Master of Literature - Theological and Religion Studies

The MLitt is an alternative to the PhD if you already have a masters degree and want to complete a substantial research project. You can complete an MLitt in most subjects offered by the Faculty of Arts, subject to approval and availability of supervision. You can further your research interests in the same subject as your first masters degree, or undertake research in a new area. An MLitt could be useful for a range of academic or professional careers, especially if you don’t want to undertake doctoral study. A Master of Theology equips you for further research in Theology and allied fields like Religious Studies. Tailored research projects allow you to explore the intersection between Theology and other fields like history, critical theory, politics, media, and the arts. Master of Theology students join a community of scholars working in the allied fields of Theology and Religious Studies.
