New Zealand Skills and Education College (NZSE College)

This programme is for students who aim to pursue development of their

personal skills, capabilities, knowledge, and attributes to give the learner the confidence and strategies that will improve their ability to succeed at higher level studies and entry-level employment in engineering.

Learners will also have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and

understanding of varying cultures and values, and how these might impact on communication between them and others in Aotearoa New Zealand, whilst working on a design project.

What you study

• During the course, you will develop and expand their knowledge and understanding of their own and other cultures and values.
• You will gain the tools to develop a personal goal-setting plan, and evaluate your unique qualities, skills and strengths that define your rangatiratanga.
• You will be equipped with the skills and knowledge of basic programming concepts and techniques.
• You will gain fundamental skills and knowledge of mathematical techniques and functions to identify and solve problems relevant to engineering. Learners will also gain basic drawing skills used in the field of engineering.
