As a BA (Hons)English and Film student, you'll explore a wide range of content from the Renaissance to today’s global, digital, and multimedia landscapes. Both literature and film will be analysed in all their forms to understand how they reflect and shape society, while considering their connections to other cultural expressions like art, music, and popular culture. Our decolonised curriculum will encourage you to question shared assumptions about the world and help you understand how and why representation matters.As you immerse yourself in the stories of a UNESCO City of Literature, you’ll be inspired to think critically, express your creativity, and engage deeply with the way literature and film shape the world around us. You’ll connect your passion for film and literature with institutions that promote cultural production in industries and communities alike, taking advantage of our partnerships in the creative industries.You’ll gain transferable skills that will prepare you for a successful future.
