The Foundation Degree in Scenic Construction is a two-year programmer. The programme has been developed in response to the acute shortage of suitably qualified entry-level technicians to build sets for the rapidly expanding Theatre, Film and Television industries in Wales and beyond.Key Features:- Technical Skills - including both metal fabrication and carpentry.- Industry Practice - develop an insight into the theatre & television industry- Professional Placements across the two years, either at RWCMD’s workshop & theatres or with industry partners- Industry Partners and supporters include- Bay Productions, Cardiff Theatrical Services, Bad Wolf (4Wood) & Wild Creations- Top up Degree - the option to top up to BA (Hons) Design for Performance.
