The International Foundation Year is a pre-university foundation programme, designed with NCUK University Partners, that effectively prepares you for first-year university entry. By studying the International Foundation Year, you will develop your subject knowledge, study skills and English language competency, allowing you to choose from thousands of degree courses across 70+ leading universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada and more. The International Foundation Year (IFY) is a rigorous pre-university programme designed for international students. It bridges the gap between secondary education and undergraduate study, equipping students 98 percentage of IFY students successfully complete their degree with subject-specific knowledge, essential academic skills, and English language proficiency to succeed at university. The programme adopts a 120-credit structure, with each credit representing 10 hours of learning. Students will complete 105 or 120 credits depending on their English language proficiency. Both routes are fully recognised for progression to NCUK University Partners. Who is it for? Delivered through our esteemed Global Network of Study Centres, this programme offers the flexibility for you to start your journey to university either locally in your home country or nearby, or venture to the UK. The International Foundation Year is structured to not only facilitate your immediate success but also to act as a stepping stone towards seamlessly transitioning into the first year of an undergraduate degree at a university. Subject modules are assessed using a combination of coursework and examinations , ensuring students are well-prepared for university-level expectations.
