A minimum 2:1 undergraduate Bachelors (honours) degree If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip). Programme specific requirements Bachelors degree with 2:1 honours degree with mathematics as a main field of study. We also welcome applications with a high 2:2 honours degree. Since the course has its emphasis on pure mathematics and theoretical physics, applicants are normally expected to have prerequisites in these areas of at least 180 credits (or equivalent).
