A key feature is the compulsory core module ST964 Introduction to Advanced Probability, which provides a rigorous, graduate-level introduction to measure-theoretic probability theory, building on your existing mathematical background. Students then take further modules related to mathematical and statistical modelling in finance, covering subjects which may include stochastic methods in finance, applications of stochastic calculus, time series analysis, and advanced trading strategies. The curriculum is completed by a wide selection of statistical elective modules, allowing for further study in areas such as Bayesian statistics, statistical learning, Monte Carlo methods, or medical statistics.
