This 30-credit program prepares you for an administrative post in K-12 public and private school systems. Through an advanced curriculum you will receive the training and credentials needed to qualify for New York State certification as both a school building leader and a school district leader. Upon completion of the coursework, students must pass the New York State School Leadership Assessment.Course offerings include topics in leadership, supervision, law and curricular concerns in public school administration, as well as district administrative problems and solutions. Under the mentorship of a school administrator, students will complete a 400-hour, hands-on administrative internship. Candidates for this program must possess a master’s degree, permanent teaching certificate and three years of teaching under such certification.
