The Automotive Services Technician program provides students with state of the art automotive repair training in both gas and hybrid vehicles. Program graduates are prepared for the certification exams of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Students who graduate from the program will be prepared to find employment in the automotive repair industry. Students who are ASE certified master technicians may earn credit for prior learning in the following courses: AUSER101 - Automotive Fundamentals (Any ASE certification) AUSER103 - Automotive Electrical/Electronic Systems (ASE A6 Electrical and Electronics) AUSER111 - Automotive Brakes (ASE A5 Brakes) AUSER113 - Automotive Suspension and Steering (ASE A4 Suspension and Steering) AUSER115 - Engine Service and Repair (ASE A1 Engine Repair) AUSER117 - Automotive Drive Trains ( ASE A2 Automatic Transmission and A3 Manual Drive Train) AUSER203 - Automotive Engine Performance (ASE A8 Engine Performance) AUSER238 - Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning (ASE A7 Heating and Air Conditioning) AUSER207 - Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle (ASE Master Technician or L3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicles) An Associate in Science Degree may be earned by completing a minimum of 60 units of degree credit coursework, including the major requirements and breadth requirements, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Students must complete all courses for the major with a grade of C or better.
