Political interactions and institutions are governed by principles that can be systematically studied because God ultimately governs the political world. The goal of CBU's political science bachelor's program is send out globally minded students who are academically prepared, biblically rooted and equipped to serve in any context (public and private sector) and location (local to global). CBU trains students through a variety of means: philosophical reflection, quantitative analysis, real-world simulations and practical internships.What You'll Learn Political science majors should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and skills necessary for a life of responsible citizenship in the democratic political process and meaningful civic engagement in the life of the community. Political science majors should know the basic features of democratic governance and understand the philosophical, religious, cultural, and historical basis of its development. Political science majors should be able to explain, analyze, and critique attempts by governments and non-state actors to address local, regional, national, and international issues and trends. Political science majors should be able to demonstrate in written and oral form engagement in a personal faith-pilgrimage, which enables the integration of faith and reason, the development of value-based character, and a commitment to the service of God and human culture.
