UW-Stout's ACEND-accredited Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Dietetics program is your first step to becoming a registered dietitian. Dietitians are shaping the world and people’s lives through applying the principles of nutrition and health. Our program embodies the polytechnic advantage, providing students with hands-on, real-world experiences that prepare them for success in the field of dietetics.After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, you will be given a DPD verification statement and be able to take the Registration Exam for Dietetic Technicians. Graduates will also be prepared to pursue a master's degree program in nutrition and dietetics and an ACEND-accredited supervised practice/dietetic internship. Once the M.S. degree and supervised practice (DI) are completed, students may take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to become a Registered Dietitian.
