Pittsburg State University

The Nutrition and Wellness emphasis provides students with an understanding of the science behind nutrition, human physiology, and health promotion. Students learn about nutrition and health assessment, food science, food safety, and sanitation, preparing them for careers focused on improving individual and community well-being. The emphasis also offers flexibility, allowing students to combine their studies with related fields such as exercise science, hospitality management, or public health to broaden their expertise and career opportunities. For students interested in pursuing dietetics, the emphasis also provides a pathway to complete the necessary prerequisites for applying to a postgraduate dietetics program.
