The study of physics incorporates a variety of other disciplines and fields. The curriculum opens up multiple paths for subsequent development, including graduate studies in science (physics, astronomy, math, chemistry, biology, etc), engineering, medicine, law, and other fields. The major in physics consists of a minimum core of physics and mathematics courses. It provides a rigorous background combined with maximum flexibility for students who have a strong interest in an additional field of study.
