The Child and Family Studies (CFS) program at Baylor University prepares students for applied practice with children and families supporting holistic development within a systems theory framework. Students in this major study the dynamics of the life span (prenatal through late adulthood). This program offers four concentrations specializing in a content area, including:Child DevelopmentChild LifeMarriage and FamilyPre-Occupational TherapyAs a part of the CFS degree program, students are required to complete a summer practicum. Similar to an internship, a practicum is a specific program designed to give students hands-on experience and prepare them for careers in Child and Family Studies.
