Certificate in Surveying for Civil Engineers

The Certificate in Surveying for Civil Engineers is designed to help civil engineers and civil engineering students meet the academic requirements of Ohio Revised Code 4733.11 for Professional Surveyor licensure. The program provides the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the surveying profession. Professional surveyors play a key role in land development and ensure the accuracy of land divisions and property boundaries. This program also supports the State’s goal to expand the number of qualified candidates for county engineer positions, which require dual registration as both a professional engineer and professional surveyor.
