The architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is full of opportunity and a multitude of career paths-whether you are a licensed engineer or architect or if you’re not. Illinois Tech’s B.S. in Construction Management and Architectural Technology combines the strengths of our architecture and engineering schools in one degree program. Designed for students who want to lead and manage projects in the AEC industry who don’t want to pursue licensure as an engineer or architect, this STEM-designated program pairs design thinking with technology-forward construction management skills that employers are actively seeking.
In construction management and architectural technology bachelor’s degree program, you’ll build fluency in building design principles, construction methods, project scheduling, cost control, and emerging technologies such as building information modeling (BIM) and digital modeling, graduating ready for in-demand roles across the AEC industry. The program also provides a direct pathway to Illinois Tech's Master of Science in Construction Engineering and Management and preparation for professional certifications including CMAA, AACE, LEED, and Autodesk.
