The Chemistry, M.S., Ph.D., in Cell, Molecular, and Structural Biology (CMSB) is a multidisciplinary, interdepartmental program of study and research that brings together faculty and students with broad interests in several areas of life sciences. You will be eligible for assistantships and will take courses in core areas of cell, molecular and structural biology. You will also attend both scientific and professional development-based seminars to prepare them for life after graduate training. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers graduate programs leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Both degree programs emphasize original research and are designed to educate professional chemists for teaching and research. In addition, the moderate size of our program (about 55 students), allows students to establish close personal relationships with each other and with faculty members.
